Nice genuine WWII US M1 helmet liner, manufactured by Westinghouse. The outer surface retains most of its original paint; the front is adorned with the insignia of the 5th Infantry Division.
Complete with cotton web suspension, leather sweatband and blackened-brass A washers. One half of the leather chinstrap is still present --- stud is hallmarked United Carr).
Good, worn condition.
