Nice genuine WWII US Army Other Ranks Garrison Cap, featuring the white and maroon piping of the Medical Department.
Size 7 1/8.
Very good, worn condition. Name Straw and laundry number S-4049 have been written on the sweatband.
James Ohio Straw was born on Ocotber 13, 1910 in Venango, Pennsylvania and joined the US Army on March 3, 1943 (ASN 33434049). He went on to serve with the Medical Department and deployed to Europe from March 31, 1944 to November 26, 1945. He was discharged on December 1st of that year and passed away on October 29, 1986 following injuries suffered in a car accident.
