Suspenders, Belt, M-1936, British Made, 1943, ID
Genuine WWII webbing suspenders with adjustable straps and hooks, dated 1943. These were used to support the pistol or cartridge belt and for carrying the M-1936 canvas field bag. This is the British-made version for US troops on the ETO.
These suspenders belonged to Robert L. Spirlock, ASN 39693362, as attested by his name and service number handwritten on the right shoulder strap, and number S-3362 on the inside of the left shoulder trap. Private Robert Lacy Spirlock, born on February 12, 1913 joined the Army on February 6, 1943 at Fresno, California. He passed away on September 22, 1982.
