Helmet, flying, Summer, Type A-8, With Receiver R-14, 1941


Superbe genuine WWII US type A-8 summer flying helmet manufactured in khaki gabardine. It still has its readable label dated 1941 in size Large. Delivered with complete receiver R-14 with PL-54 plug. 

Standardized on 12 October 1933 initially for the USAAF this helmet with leather chin cup was used by paratroops not only during training but also in combat zone. Seen on period photos worn during every campaigns: Sicily, Italy, Normandy, Hollande..
