Shoulder Title, York and Lancaster, Dunkirk, Normandy


Genuine WWII British Army shoulder title, The York and Lancaster Regiment. Taking part in the Dunkirk evacuation, the battalion returned to England in June 1940.

The unit was made up of various battalions, which fought, amongst other places, in Norway (1940), Crete (1941), North Africa and the Far East (1942), Sicily and Italy (1943-1944), Normandy and then Northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands (1944-1945).
