Genuine WWII British Army shoulder title, The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.

Recruited in Yorkshire, this infantry regiment was made up of numerous battalions -- some of them fought in France and Norway (1940),. Part were in the Battle of Dunkirk with the rest of the BEF. Others in Burma (1942) or Sicily and Italy (1943-1944), not to mention Normandy and Holland (1944) as part of the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division.
