Cover, Protective, Individual, 1944

Genuine WWII US anti-vesicant cover in clear and dark green plastic. After unfolding, this cover would protect the soldier, along with his weapon and equipment. It was also convenient as an overhead cover in a foxhole or to line its bottom; covers were also used as shrouds in temporary cemeteries. On D-Day, every GI carried two covers with his gas mask.

Contract No. W-36-030-qm-3875, which corresponds to the year 1944.
