Helmet, M-1942, Waffen-SS, Camouflaged, Normandy
Nice genuine WWII German M-1942 helmet, in very good condition. The shell retains most of its original camouflage paint and features number 472; hallmark is unfortunately illegible. The leather liner is still present with its cord; original chinstrap is still in place -- no markings. On the right side, the shield and runes have been camouflaged on purpose, following the orders.
This Stahlhelm, discovered in a garage sale in Manche, Normandy in 2013, belonged to Ott Höch, as indicated by the inscription visible inside.
