Grouping, US Navy, PH2c Gerald Feddersen
Superb genuine Korean War US Navy grouping, which belonged to Photographer's Mate 2nd Class Gerald J. Feddersen (1931-2001).
This lot is made up of a named peacot, a jumper, matching trousers and flat hat, as well as two named standard issue black neckerchiefs and a Mark 2 knife, hallmarked Camillus, NY on the lower guard, delivered in its original bakelite scabbard marked USN MK 2 and manufactured by B.M. Co., on which initials GJF have been carved besides the year 1952 and ship's name USS Boxer.
The jumper retains its original insignia -- Petty Officer 2nd Class rank stripes (Photographer's Mate) -- and two medals: Korean Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Nine medal ribbons are still sewn on the left breast (see details in the description below). Five additional medal ribbons are also included in this set (idem).
An amazing grouping in excellent condition.
