Genuine WWII British shoulder brass titles of the King's Own Scottish Borderers.
The various battalions of this Scottish infantry regiment fought in France with the BEF (1939-1940), in Burma (1943-1944), Normandy, Belgium and Holland (1944).
The 1st Battalion landed on Sword Beach on June 6, 1944; the 6th Battalion also joined the fray in Normandy a few days later and both units saw heavy action during the Battle for Caen.
