Nice genuine WWII US regulation pattern officer's jacket, chosen by General Eisenhower in April 1944, hence the name 'Ike Jacket'. This is a off-duty jacket tailored to an Ike jacket. All original insignia still present: bullion 79th Infantry Division shoulder patch, Captain rank insignias, bullion Overseas Service Bars, Combat Infantry Badge and ribbons (Good Conduct Medal, European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with tree Stars, American Campaign Medal, Victory Medal, American Defense Medal, Purple Heart Medal and Bronze Star).
Original tailor's label still present: Smith-Gray, Broadway, New York, dated October 22, 1943 and featuring the name E. R. Kennedy. Size 38R. Excellent overall condition despite a tear in the left sleeve.
