Superb genuine WWII US M1 helmet liner, of the resin-coated compressed fiber type, manufactured by Firestone. A white Captain rank insignia has been painted on the front under nickname Beber. 

This amazing liner is in great overall condition and retains its full cotton web suspension; unpainted A washers.
