Life Preserver, M-1926, US Navy, 1944
Genuine WWII US Navy M-1926 life preserver, of the double snap fastener type. Manufactured by Master Tire & Rubber Corp., contract number W33-034-TC-27, dated December 18, 1944.
Supplied by the US Navy, the M-1926 life belt was issued to troops participating in landing operations. The belt could be inflated using two CO2 cartridges, or manually via two valves -- the belt had two internal inflatable tubes.
