Trousers, Combat, Winter (Tanker Bib), John McPhee III


Superb genuine WWII US 2nd type tanker bib, with original size label, Small. Often worn by tank crews and motorcyclists. The leg bottoms can be gathered with straps. 2nd pattern winter combat trousers, in wool lined twill, with a zippered fly opening slightly off-center. The leg bottoms can be gathered with snaps.

This tanker bib once belogned to J. McPhee, laundry number M9598.

John McPhee III was born on November 13, 1920 in Clinton, New York and joined the US Army on August 23, 1942 (service number 32489598). He went on to serve in North Africa and Europe and was discharged on Janyaru 1st, 1946. He passed away on October 26, 2008.
