Bayonet, USM4, Case, USM1 Carbine
Genuine WWII US M4 bayonet, intended for the M1 carbine. Manufactured by Case hallmarked on crossguard. Delivered in its original USM8A1 bakelite scabbard, hallmarked B.M. Co.
Based on the M3 trench knife, this bayonet was introduced in the summer of 1944 for personnels armed with the M1 carbine; a specific assembly was attached onto the barrel to fit the new device. Until 1945, about three million M4 bayonets were produced by seven manufacturers: Aerial Cutlery Manufacturing Co., Camillus Cutlery Co., W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co., Imperial Knife Co., Kinfolks Inc., Pal Blade and Tool Co. and Utica Cutlery Co.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
