Patch, 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment


Genuine WWII US shoulder patch of the 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment, 100% cotton thread. This particular regiment of the US Army was created in March 1942 by the amalgamation of Filipino-American soldiers and Philippine Army personnel who were in the US after escaping the fall of Philippines.

It participated in operations in New Guinea in support of the 31st Infantry Division. In 1945, it saw action again in Leyte.
