Bag, Duffel, Named, Invasion Code


Nice genuine WWII US Army Duffel Bag. Featuring a shoulder strap, this green canvas bag was larger and sturdier than the Barrack Bag and could be secured with a padlock.

Manufactured by St. Croix Garment Co. and dated 1944, the present bag features various markings, including an invasion code made up of three horizontal bars (white, red, white), as well as name Dwight C. Scott and ASN 35763297.

Dwight Carlton Scott was born on November 6, 1923 in McConnelsville, Ohio and joined the US Army on November 12, 1943. He passed away on September 11, 2014.
