Jacket, Field, M-1943, US Army, 1st Type, Named

Genuine WWII US M-1943 cotton sateen four-pocket jacket, 1st type with khaki lining, featuring plastic buttons and gusseted cuffs. The new field jacket was first issued in quantity in the ETO in late September 1944, but a few GIs posted to Britain in May of that year had received it prior to the Normandy invasion. 

Complete with all buttons. Size seems to correspond to 36R despite the lack of tag. Very good, worn condition. Various markings have been stenciled on the lining. Name Frank Pirillo has been written in the collar.
