Nice genuine WWII US Navy grouping, made up of a jumper with matching 'Duck Hat', along with a Reserve Officer Training Corps visor cap, which belonged to Seaman 1st Class Myril G. Korb.

The jumper retains its original manufacturer's label, on which name M.G. Korb has been inked -- full name Myril Korb was once handwritten on it yet has become hardly legible --, and its 'Ruptured Duck'. The 'Duck Hat' features the regulation US Navy tally; size 7; name M.G. Korb has been inked on the leather sweatband.

Complete with inner frame, chinstrap and buttons, the visor cap features the specific insignia of the US Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps, a college program which trains commissioned officers; size 7 1/8; name Korb, M.G. has been handwritten inside, followed by mentions Co. 4 and Pl. 1, which indicate Company 4 and 1st Platoon.

Great homogeneous set, in very good overall condition.

Myril Gerald Korb was born on February 12, 1925 in DuPont, Wisconsin and joined the US Navy in March 1944. He passed away on March 17, 2005.
