Scarce genuine WWII US M1 helmet liner, manufactured by St. Clair Rubber Co. Cotton web suspension complete with neckband, leather sweatband and plain A washers. The outter surface retains most of its original paint.

Good, worn condition. Name Scaglione, ASN 32526129 and laundry number S-6129 have been painted inside.

Vincent James Scaglione was born on October 20, 1913 in New York City and joined the US Army on October 10, 1942. He went on to serve in the Medical Department and deployed to Europe with the 141st General Hospital, returning stateside on June 29, 1945.
