Genuine WWII US Army 'Special' HBT overshirt, featuring an inner flap behind the front buttons and two buttons under the collar intended for attaching the antigas woolen hood. This type, which retains the two breast cargo pockets of the previous versions, was worn both as a combat jacket and as a utility jacket on the ETO, particularly in Normandy. This particular color was introduced in 1943 (Olive Drab Shade 7).
