Machete, M-1942, DISSTON 1943, with Canvas Scabbard, BOYT 1943

Genuine WWII US M-1942 machete, 18-inch blade, made by Disston and dated 1943; black bakelite grips. Comes in its original OD 7 canvas scabbard, manufactured by Boyt and dated 1943, too.

Such machetes were, amongst other branches of service, quite popular with American paratroopers and Marines manning the .30 machine gun.

Homogeneous set in good, used condition.
