Interesting genuine WWII US M1 helmet, front seam and swivel bales, manufactured by McCord, shell number 113H. Original 1st pattern canvas chinstrap with brass buckle and hook. Name Dill has been painted on the front, under a Captain rank insignia.

Comes with its original liner, manufactured by Westinghouse, which retains its khaki cotton web suspension, leather sweatband and green A washers. Various inscriptions adorn the outer surface of this liner: name Dill -- above which seemingly appears some Technician 5th Grade rank insignia--, first name Alice, mention "Honk" and number 1093rd, which may correspond to the 1093rd Signal Company.

Homogeneous set in good, worn condition.
