Genuine WWII British radio wire, used aboard Royal Air Force aircraft. The present set retains its two 10H/2206 sockets and its 10H/735 jack. Mention Sqn. Ldr Berry has been handwritten on the small russet leather sheath. The whole assembly belonged to Squadron Leader Lionel G. Berry.
Born on June 4, 1922 in Derby, Derbyshire, England, Lionel Goldsmith Berry, a Lancaster bomber pilot with No. 106 Squadron, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in February 1944, when he was still a Pilot Officer. He passed away on November 1st, 2001.
