Superb reproduction of the B-10 jacket.
In 1943 the U.S. Army Air Force B-10 intermediate flight jacket has been introduced as a replacement for the earlier leather flight jackets like the A-2s or the B-3s .Although introduced in 1943 it did not see use until 1944 in the ETO. Highly favored due to its sharp appearance and higher comfort it was not only worn be fighter aces of the U.S. Army Air Forces. Infantry officers in the ETO and especially the ones of the 82nd & 101st Airborne preferably lay their hands on these new flight jackets as pictures of the Battle of the Bulge proof.
This first type jacket doesn't have the USAAF transfer on the sleeve allowing unit shoulder patch to be applied.
This B-10 flight jacket replica features all the detail which are also found on originals: Custom-woven polished cotton satin outer shell color matched to the exact specifications, custom-made alpaca wool lining, genuine plush mouton fur collar in dark brown, custom-made knit cuffs and waistband, proper size and manufacturer label, U.S. Army Air Force insignia on shoulder and on wind flap, proper 1940's style zinc zipper. These jackets are to the highest quality standards !
