Genuine WWII US M1942 bayonet for M1 Garand rifle, manufactured by Utica Cutlery (hallmarked UC on left side of the ricasso) in 1942 and subsequently shortened -- this type was redesignated M1 in March 1943.
In good, used condition, the present bayonet comes in its OD bakelite scabbard, at the back of which initials A.E. have been engraved.
