Amazing genuine WWII theater-made combat knife, based on a rifle bayonet. Single-edged, straight blade (length: 8.2in) and D-shaped handguard featuring two rows of four triangular points. Comes in its original handcrafted leather scabbard, retaining its securing strap -- snap fastener is in working order -- a a cord intended for attaching the assembly onto the leg. Initials J.J.T. have been engraved on the front and rear of the sheath. Nice homogeneous set in quite good, used condition, coming from the estate of Private First Class Joseph J. Thomas , Company A, 16th Marine Regiment, 5th Marine Division.

Great genuine WWII US theater-made fighting knife, featuring a triangular blade (5.7in). The grip and knuckle guard are fashioned out of a single block of plexiglas, thus giving the whole assembly solidity and lightness all at once. Comes in its original handcrafted leather scabbard, retaining its securing strap with snap fastener -- in working order. Nice homogeneous set in good, used condition.

Rare genuine WWII US theater-made fighting knife, featuring a large Bowie blade. Blade length: 8.5in. The grip is fashioned out of leather washers, while the crossguard and pommel are made of steel. Comes in its original handcrafted leather scabbard, which features a securing strap with snap fastener -- broken. Nice homogeneous set in quite good, used condition.

Amazing genuine WWII US fighting knife, based on an M1942 bayonet designed for the M1 Garand rifle, manufactured by Oneida Limited in 1942 (see hallmark OL on the left side of the ricasso) prior to being shortened. Redesignated M1 in March 1943, this bayonet was subsequently modified by its owner -- the ring intended for taking place on the muzzle was removed, and the blade was reshaped in a Bowie-like style (blade length: about 7.7in). Good overall condition; comes in its rare US Navy Mk I scabbard, initially intended for the training bayonet, which was also shortened in order to match the present blade.

Genuine WWII US Western Shark fighting knife, hallmarked Western, Boulder, Colo., Pat. No. 1,967,479 on the ricasso. Bowie type blade (5.7in), grip made of stacked leather washers, steel pommel. This type was particularly popular with USMC and USN aicrews in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Quite good, used condition; comes in its original leather scabbard, on which the following details have been carved: P.G. Brownell, La Vabulas, VF-2 . Nice homogeneous set.

Genuine WWII US fighting knife, identical to the version manufactured by E.G. Waterman yet showing no markings. Though not a standard regulation issue, this type saw service in most theaters of operations. Blade length: 7.3in. Complete and in quite good overall condition; comes in its original russet leather scabbard, on which name "Swens" has been carved; snap fastener of securing strap is in working order. Herbert Swens was born on August 30, 1921 in Hartford, Connecticut in a family of Swedish-Finnish ancestry and joined the US Army on October 20, 1942 (ASN 32535293). He went on to serve with the Air Corps and deployed to Europe along with 533rd Bomb. Squadron, 381st Bomb. Group, 8th Air Force. Genuine pre-WWI US Army M1902 mess kit knife, of the standard issue type superseded by the M1910 in 1911, and by the M1926 in 1940. Produced by Rock Island Arsenal and dated 1904. Tinned blade. Good overall condition; comes straight from its original carton (not included).
