Genuine WWII US Army OD 7 canvas bag, of the type used by paratroops for carrying demolition kits, featuring an adjustable carrying strap intended for being carried over the shoulder. Prior to jumping, the snap hook which is usually present on the carrying strap (missing here) is attached onto the parachute harness, while the rear straps secure the whole assembly. Good overall condition. Impregnated.

Genuine WWII US Army M1936 field bag, khaki canvas, manufactured by  Atlantic Products Co. and dated 1941. Issued in lieu of the haversack to officers and other personnel such as airborne troops and armored crews. The rear straps have been covered with black friction tape in order to keep them in folded position, common practice among airborne troops. Good, used condition; name  Stump and laundry number  S-2804 are visible on the flap -- the latter has also been inked on the back of the bag. Both snap hooks are rusty, the left one being in very poor shape. Robert Earl Stump was born on August 12, 1924 in Clarksburg, West Virginia and joined the US Army on April 12, 1943 (ASN 35752804). Genuine WWII US Army M1936 field bag, khaki canvas, issued in lieu of the haversack to officers and other personnel such as airborne troops and armored crews. No production markings visible apart from the year 1943. Good overall condition. Name  Ricker R.O. , ASN Ricker R.O.  and mention  Sgt. Ricker R.  have been handwritten on the flap. Ralph Otis Ricker, Jr.  was born on December 25, 1918 in Boston, Massachusetts and joined the US Army on February 26, 1940. He went on to serve with Company D, 504th PIR, 82nd Airborne Division and deployed to North Africa and Europe, where he was wounded in action twice -- in October 1943 in Italy, and in January 1945.
