Footwear
Footwear is part of the soldier's uniform and is, with the helmet, the most important equipment in wartime. Manufactured in leather, canvas or rubber, these boots or combat boots also identify the various army corps that soldiers are affected.

Pair of genuine WWII US Army russet leather jump boots of the type authorized in August 1942, manufactured by Herman Shoes . This model features the specific toe cap, twelve pairs of eyelets, four distinctive oblique rows of stitching intended for strenghthening the quarter, a two-piece sole, and leather laces. Label is still present in the right boot. Homogeneous pair in quite good, worn condition. The sole of the left boot is slightly damaged. Size 10 E.

Boots, Jungle, US Army, Size 8, 1942
Great pair of genuine WWII US Army jungle boots, made in green heavy duty canvas and fitted with black rubber soles. These high combat shoes, featuring thick soles and intended for hot and humid climates, were introduced by the end of the summer 1942 and mostly worn in South West Pacific. Manufactured by Hood Rubber Co. Contract is dated September 19, 1942. Nice homogeneous pair, in quite good overall condition, retaining its cotton shoelaces; the rubber soles are slightly damaged, particularly on both toe caps. Size 8.

Boots, Leather, Laced, Legging Top, Size 9 B, 1941
Nice genuine WWII US Army legging top laced leather boots with distinctive toe cap, introduced for the cavalry in 1940 and widely issued to tank crews and motorcyclists. The legging top is tightened with three straps featuring pin buckles -- in working order. This type of high boots was worn throughout the war by several senior officers, including General George S. Patton . Dated December 10, 1941. Size 9 B. Homogeneous pair, in very good overall condition.

Pair of genuine WWII US Army Combat Service Boots, known as 'Buckle Boots', featuring a soft leather upper part lined with canvas. Standardized in November 1943, this type was intended for superseding the standard service shoes and canvas leggings. Worn out condition; the upper strap of the left boot is damaged. Size 8 ½. Found in the Ardennes.

Genuine WWII US cardboard shoebox, intended for a pair of Pair-A-Trooper jump boots. Manufactured by Georgia Shoe Mfg. Co. in Buford, Georgia. Quite good, used condition. Empty. Dimensions: about 14.5in x 12.6in x 4.5in.
