Genuine WWII US Army synthetic rubber delousing bag, intended for sanitizing clothes and other personal belongings. A methyl bromide tube -- not included here -- was to be broken inside prior to inserting the contaminated clothes. Manufactured by Hood Rubber Co. , contract dated June 12, 1943. Very good, unused condition.

Genuine WWII US Army M7 waterproof rubber bag, intended for the M5 assault gas mask. On D-Day, the latter was mostly issued to paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, and first-wave amphibious units -- 2nd and 5th Ranger Battalions, 1st, 4th and 29th Infantry Divisions. Complete and in good overall condition. Gas mask is not included.

Carton, 30 Ampules, Methyl Bromide, Delousing Agent, Empty
Rare Genuine WWII US carton, intended for containing 30 ampules (20cc) of methyl bromide -- a chemical agent used for sanitizing clothes, among others. Used by the Graves Registrations Service (GRS) when handling deceased personnel in combat zone who had been dead for several days, weeks or even months. Manufactured by Tedlee Chemical Corp. Used condition; retains its lid. Empty.

Eyeshield, M1 (Chemical Spray)
Genuine WWII expendable acetate eyeshields worn against vesicant spray. The dark tinted shields was stapled between a visor of impregnated material and a narrow strip of felt where it touched the brow.

Goggles, Theater-Made, Cut in M5 Assault Gas Mask
Rare genuine WWII US Army theater-made goggles, cut in some M5 assault gas mask, of the type issued to paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions and first-wave amphibious units on D-Day -- 2nd and 5th Ranger Battalions, 1st, 4th and 29th Infantry Divisions. Quite good, worn condition. In this famous picture, published on the front cover of Air Force magazine, August 1944 issue, Corporal Robert John Noody , Company F, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, wears identical goggles around his neck prior to taking off on the eve of D-Day.

Hood, Wool, OD, Special, US Army, Size Medium, Named
Genuine WWII US Army protective wool hood, initially developed for protection against gas, but often used for protection from the cold. It was therefore widely used during the winter of 1944, especially in the vicinity of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. A set of buttons allows the hood to be attached to the shirt and jacket, or to the HBT coveralls. Label is dated February 15, 1945. Size: Medium. Complete and in very good overall condition. Name L.E. Tewell has been painted in yellow letters on the back.
