Neck Flap, Bo-Tare, Japanese

Great and amazingly scarce genuine WWII Japanese neck flap, designed to be attached onto the field cap eyelets thanks to five brass hooks. Made up of a cloth strip on which have been sewn four trapezoidal pannels, this accessory was intended for protecting the Nipponese fighter from insolation and excessive humidity in tropical latitudes.

This home-made Bo-Tare, featuring three embroidered ideograms, is in excellent overall condition; some business card comes along with this very nice neck flap.
