Rare genuine WWII US Army grouping, which belonged to some T echnician 5th Grade  Oris W. Bridgman and includes the following artefacts: - M1936 field bag made in Britain by M.E. Co. in 1943; mention  Cpl. Oris W. Bridgman and ASN  37423688 have been written on the back of the musette bag itself, while laundry number is visible under the flap; - M1910 canteen manufactured by G.M. Co. in 1942 and standard issue cup produced by  T.A.C.U. Co. in 1941, retaining their canvas cover; laundry number B-3688 is visible under the canteen and in the cover; - M1932 mess kit made by  Knapp-Monarch Co. in 1944, coming along with cutlery set (spoon, knife and fork); laundry number  B-3688 can be seen on two of these utensils; - M1936 belt, also showing laundry number  B-3688 ; - TL-122-B flashlight, under which initials WB have been carved; - pair of distinctive unit insignias bearing Latin motto  Hominum Causa . Nice homogeneous set in quite good, used condition, coming along with various American Legion souvenirs: veteran's cap, membership award, pin badges... Oris Wayne Bridgman was born on March 28, 1914 in Davis, Iowa and joined the US Army on July 25, 1942. He went on to serve with the Medical Department and deployed to Europe with the 53rd and 103rd General Hospitals. Nice genuine WWI US M-1910 haversack, manufactured by P.B. & C. and dated April 1918. This was the standard backpack of the Sammy in the Great War. In very good overall condition, this haversack retains its original meat can pouch. Various markings have been stenciled on the present backpack, indicating that it once belonged to some  K.D. Elliott , who served with the 21st Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees) in WWII. The unit deployed to Hawaii, Eniwetok, Saipan, and Okinawa. Kenneth Dale Elliott was born on February 14, 1912 in Portland, Oregon and joined the US Navy on March 27, 1942 (sevice number 664-38-97). Genuine WWI US Army M1910 haversack, manufactured by Rock Island Arsenal and dated 1918. This was the standard haversack of the Sammy in the Great War and remained in use throughout the Second World War despite the introduction of the M1928. Quite good overall condition, complete with meat can pouch -- pack carrier is missing. Various markings and inscriptions have been inked or written on the present haversack, indicating that it was first issued to some serviceman of Company L, 426th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Infantry Division, and then reissued to a GI named Goins (laundry number  G0975 ). Dennis Bennie Goins was born on August 30, 1911 in Omega, Louisiana and joined the US Army on October 28, 1942 (ASN 38330975). He went on to serve with Company G, 368th Infantry Regiment, 93rd Infantry Division and deployed to the Pacific.
