Rare genuine WWII US Army parachutist's rope, of the type issued to paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions on the occasion of Operation Overlord. This 30-foot braided cotton rope was intended for giving the paratroopers the possibility to emerge from perilous situations, such as landing on a roof, in a tree, or in any other inappropriate spot. Very good overall condition.
