Helmet, M2, Fixed Loops, Modified, D-Ring, 3rd Bn., 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division, Normandy
Genuine WWII US Army M2 helmet, front rim seam and fixed loops, without any production marking visible. The present shell features some interesting modification: the original loops were once replaced with handcrafted D-shaped loops, which were welded to the inner surface of the helmet. A single dot of white paint has been applied on the front, rear, and each side of this shell, indicating that the wearer served with the 3rd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Used condition; found in Normandy.

Helmet, Parachutist, M2, Camouflaged, INLAND Liner
Genuine WWII US Army M2 helmet, featuring a front seam and shell number 113D . Chinstrap and both loops are missing. The outer surface shows a camouflage scheme made up of light green paint patches. Comes along with a liner manufactured by Inland , which retains its original khaki cotton suspension, russet leather sweatband and plain A washers -- slightly oxidized. A yokes are missing. Nice homogenous set, in quite good overall condition.

Holster, Shoulder, M3, Colt .45, BOYT 43
Genuine WWII US M3 leather shoulder holster intended for the Colt M1911A1 pistol, caliber .45, manufactured by Boyt and dated 1943. Introduced for USAAF pilots in 1942, this type was subsequently used in every branch of the military and became particularly popular among airborne troops. Quite good, used condition, and very nice patina; retains its original sling. Lift-the-Dot fastener and belt loop stud are both in working order. Pistol is not included.

Nice genuine WWII US M3 russet leather shoulder holster intended for the Colt M1911A1 Pistol, caliber .45. Manufactured by Enger-Kress and dated 1944. Introduced for USAAF pilots in 1942, this type was subsequently used in most branches of the military and became particularly popular among airborne troops and armored crews. Complete and in quite good, used condition; the snap fastener of the belt loop is damaged but the Lift-the-Dot fastener of the securing strap is in working order. Two different laundry numbers are visible on the back of the sheath. Pistol is not included.
