Genuine US Army laminated map of Fort Riley, Kansas. During World War II, the 2nd Cavalry Division and 9th Armored Division were created at Fort Riley, which was also used as a POW camp for captured Italian and German troops. Since 1955, the base has been home to the 1st Infantry Division. Quite good overall condition. Dimensions: about 14.1in x 17.3in.

Truly stunning lot of two authentic messages sent by Major General Matthew B. Ridgway , commanding officer of XVIII Airborne Corps, to the officers in charge of various units -- including the 307th Airborne Engineer Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division -- during the fighting in Holland in September 1944 (Operation Market Garden). These extremely rare documents, which have some great historical significance, are protected by a frame. Frame dimensions: 9.8in x 14.5in.
