Genuine WWII US Army 'yard-long' photograph a Company G, 541st Parachute Infantry Regiment. Taken during the fall of 1944; photographer's ink stamp is visible on the reverse -- W.R. Thompson & Co., Richmond 2, Va. The 541st Parachute Infantry Regiment was formed on August 12, 1943 at Fort Moore, Georgia, in order to train new paratroopers intended for reinforcing the regiments deployed in Europe. Original print; quite good overall condition. Actual dimensions: 7.8in x 35.8in.
