Nice genuine WWII British Mk III helmet, complete with original liner and chinstrap. Shell has no visible markings. Liner is hallmarked CCL  ( Christy & Co. Ltd., London ) and dated 1944; size 7 1/4. Produced from 1943 onwards, the Mk III, offering a better enveloping shape than the Mk II, retains its predecessor's liner. It was not used in actual combat conditions before June 6, 1944: on D-Day, the 'Turtle' helmet was worn by British and Canadian units involved in the first wave of the amphibious landings. The present helmet is complete and in good overall condition.

Genuine WWII British Mk III helmet, retaining its original liner and chinstrap. Shell has no markings visible; liner is hallmarked FFL  ( Fisher Foil Ltd. ) and dated 1944; size 7 ¼. Produced from 1943 onwards, the Mk III, offering a better enveloping shape than the Mk II, retains its predecessor's liner. It was not used in actual combat conditions before June 6, 1944: on D-Day, the 'Turtle' helmet was worn by British and Canadian units involved in the first wave of the amphibious landings. Complete and in good overall condition. The outer surface shows remnants of bottle green paint while initials FD have been stenciled in white on the rear.

It was not used in actual combat conditions before June 6, 1944: on D-Day, the 'Turtle' helmet was worn by British and Canadian units involved in the first wave of the amphibious landings. The present helmet is in good, worn condition.

The liner, which is hallmarked BMB  ( Briggs Motor Bodies, Dagenham). Produced from 1943 onwards, the Mk III, offering a better enveloping shape than the Mk II, retains its predecessor's liner. It was not used in actual combat conditions before June 6, 1944: on D-Day, the 'Turtle' helmet was worn by British and Canadian units involved in the first wave of the amphibious landings. The present helmet is complete and in good overall condition. The outer surface shows remnants of two distinct layers of paint (different colors).

The outer surface retains some of its original paint, and digit 8 has been painted at the rear. Produced from 1943 onwards, the Mk III, offering a better enveloping shape than the Mk II, retains its predecessor's liner. It was not used in actual combat conditions before June 6, 1944: on D-Day, the 'Turtle' helmet was worn by British and Canadian units involved in the first wave of the amphibious landings. The present helmet, which is in quite good, worn condition, was found in Normandy.

Genuine WWII US Army M2 helmet, featuring a front seam and shell number 113D . Chinstrap and both loops are missing. The outer surface shows a camouflage scheme made up of light green paint patches. Comes along with a liner manufactured by Inland , which retains its original khaki cotton suspension, russet leather sweatband and plain A washers -- slightly oxidized. A yokes are missing. Nice homogenous set, in quite good overall condition.

Amazing genuine WWII US Army shock-absorbing helmet, intended for tank and armored vehicle crews. Manufactured by  Wilson Ath. Goods Mfg. Co.  in Chicago, Illinois. Size 6 ⅞. Complete and in rather good, worn condition. Some 1st Lieutenant rank insignia has been painted on the front, while laundry number  Z-4297 has been written inside. Joseph Zitnik was born on February 16, 1912 in Scammon, Kansas and joined the US Army on April 30, 1942. Commissioned as a 1st Lieutenant (officer's ASN O-101 4297 ), he went on to serve with 66th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division and deployed to Europe, where he was fatally wounded in action on October 5, 1944 in the Netherlands.
