Genuine WWII US M1 gas mask waterproofing kit, adaptable to most gas masks in service in the US military, intended for being issued on the occasion of amphibious operations. The present kit includes a canvas pouch, some adhesive square patches, two metal clamps designed for waterproofing the canister and rubber hose, as well as the instruction sheet. Good overall condition.

Rare genuine WWII German marking kit, intended for signalling gas-contaminated areas but also probably used for marking minefields. The present kit is made up of ten red-painted metal stakes, each bearing a small yellow triangular pennant adorned with black skull-and-bones. A roll of yellow cloth tape, designed for establishing a security perimeter, complete this lot. Homogeneous set, in good overall condition, coming in its original canvas case (complete with strap). The present artifact comes from a significant collection built up by a Norman collector in the last thirty years.

Genuine WWII French Mle 1835 individual mess kit, normally made up of three separate aluminium elements (the inner compartment is missing here). Manufactured by Manufacture métallurgique de Tournus in Saône-et-Loire and dated 1939. Quite good, used condition; name Pierre Lucas and some hardly-legible inscription have been punched on the lid -- probably Souvenir du 104 , which may indicate that the owner served in the 104e Régiment d'infanterie .

Kit, Prophylactic, DOUGH-BOY, The Reese Chemical Co., Unopened
Genuine WWII US Dough-Boy prophylactic kit, intended for preventing venereal diseases. Manufactured by The Reese Chemical Co. One of the most important steps which was taken by the US Army during the war to reduce the spread of veneral diseases amongst its soldiers was the issue of prophylaxis. This is described as Item No. 9118100, Prophylactic, Mechanical, Individual, 144. The Medical Department issued condoms without charge at a rate of six per man, per month, and individual pro-kits at a rate of two per man, per week. Apart from the Medical Department issue prophylaxis, troops would often purchase condoms from PX Stores and other sources. Brands included Cello , Golden Pheasant , Texide , Doughboy , Silver-Tex , Thins , Trojan and Prophyl-Tex . The present kit, which is made up of two ointment tubes, is complete and in mint, unopened condition. Comes directly from its original cardboard box -- only shown here for illustration purposes.
