Comes in its original leather scabbard, at the back of which initials  R.S.B.S. and date Jan 5, 194 [?] have been engraved; snap fastener of the securing strap is in working order. Homogeneous set in quite good, used condition.

This type was particularly light and handy, and became very popular amongst American servicemen in most theaters of operations. Interesting genuine WWII US fighting knife, manufactured by  Kinfolks . The grip of the present knife, which is in rather used condition, has been entirely covered with tape; the pommel cap is missing. Comes in its original theater-made scabbard, made up of two pieces of leather lined with two metal sheets and assembled together with a total of 14 rivets; a belt loop has been cut through the upper part of the sheath. The locket features the following hand-engraved inscription: Made for George Kuczma by Brother John - Love & Luck . George Kuczma was born on December 28, 1916 in a Polish family in Shutesbury, Massachussetts and joined the US Navy on October 26, 1942 (service number 666-90-67). He deployed to the Pacific as a Coxswain with a Naval Construction Battalion (Seabees) and participated in the campaign of Guadalcanal. He passed away on February 16, 2000. Blade and hilt have been shortened, so that the whole assembly offers reduced dimensions similar to the Mk 1 utility knife, while some leather lace has been added on the grip near the pommel cap. Overall length of knife: 9.25in. Comes in its original grey bakelite scabbard, manufactured by  B.M. Co . and marked  U.S.N. MK 2 , also shortened to match the size of the above-mentioned blade; snap fastener is in working order. Amazing homogeneous set, in rather good, used condition.

Genuine WWII US Marine Corps Mark 2 type fighting knife, manufactured by Camillus and hallmarked on guard. Comes in its original russet leather scabbard, at the back of which name  S.R. Clegg has been carved. Snap fastener of securing strap is in working order. Homogeneous set in good, used condition. Samuel Richard Clegg was born on August 17, 1924 in Bellaire, Ohio and joined the USMC on November 20, 1942 (service number 491795). He went on to serve with the Fleet Marine Force and was discharged on November 15, 1945 as a Corporal.
