Manufactured by W.W. Ltd. and dated 1944.
Popular with the Special Operations Executive, which used it to parachute radio equipment intended for Jedburgh Teams and Resistance groups in enemy-occupied territory, particularly the Wireless Sets Nos. 11, 19, 21 and 22, this type also saw action on the occasion of Operation Market Garden in Holland.
This large canvas bag features a wooden frame in order to reinforce the bottom.
Complete and in very good overall condition; found at Froidchapelle, Belgium.
