Nice genuine WWII Canadian webbing holster, designed for the Enfield No. 2 Mk I* revolver. Marked inside of the 2nd Royal Canadian Brigade. This unit landed in Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944.
This type was initially intended for armored crews, allowing them to carry the sidearm on their thigh. A specific emplacement accomodates the cleaning rod, while six loops allow the serviceman to carry six extra rounds, here filled with blank cartridges.
Genuine WWII Title, 5th Medium Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, 5th Canadian Armoured Division shoulder title, emboidered version. To be worn on the Battledress blouse shoulders.
It saw action in Italy and later in the Netherlands as part of the 5th Canadian Armoured Division.
