Its 1st Battalion is part of the 71st Infantry Brigade, 53rd Welsh Infantry Division anf fights in Normandy. Its 2nd Battalion is part of the 6th Airlanding Brigade, 6th British Airborne Division and is parachuted in Normandy on D-Day. The printed shoulder titles are the most commonly worn insignias by the Commonwealth troops during the Battle of Normandy.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
