Genuine WWII US Navy epistolary correspondence, made up of four letters sent by Metalsmith 2nd Class Woodrow W. Hines to his wife Carmen during the period June-November 1944.
Nice homogeneous lot, in good overall condition.
Woodrow Wilson Hines was born on September 1st, 1912 in Duncanville, Texas and joined the US Navy on June 15, 1943 (service number 839-38-40). He went on to serve withCompany D, 107th Naval Construction Battalion and deployed to the Pacific. He was discharged on December 1st, 1945 as a Metalsmith 2nd Class, and passed away on December 17, 1987.
