Rare genuine WWII US Army photograph, showing some German prisoners of war being taken in charge by some American medics in a farm yard.
According to the caption visible on the reverse, the two men dressing the wounded arm of the Landser in the center are 1st Lieutenant L.D. Wallace, of Tulia, Texas, and Corporal T.H. Schult, hailing from New York City.
The present picture was taken in April 1945 by 196th Signal Photo Company at the 3rd Battalion Aid Station, 87th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, in the vicinity of Tolè, southwest of Bologna, Italy.
Original print, in excellent overall condition.
