Genuine WWII US Army Duffle Bag -- featuring a shoulder strap, this green canvas bag was larger and sturdier than the Barrack Bag and could be secured with a padlock.

Manufactured by Tweedies and dated 1944.

Quite good, used condition; retains its shoulder strap (snap hook is in working order); the bottom of this bag has been replaced with a piece of white cloth.

Name William Doyle and ASN 33383469 have been stenciled on the outer surface.

William Augustine Doyle was born on October 4, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland and joined the US Army on November 11, 1942. He went on to serve with the Counter-Intelligence Detachment of the 69th Infantry Division and deployed to Europe, receiving a battlefield commission in March 1945 and being awarded the Bronze Star. He passed away on June 22, 1992.
