Genuine WWII US Army khaki canvas barrack bag, issued in pairs to every GI and generally used as a laundry bag.
Quite good, used condition; shows various signs of repair.
Name Stanley B. Gnoza and ASN 13004473 have been stenciled on the outer surface.
Stanley B. Gnoza was born on January 10, 1916 in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania to Polish parents and joined the US Army on February 17, 1940. He went on to serve with Battery C, 326th Field Artillery Battalion, 84th Infantry Division, deployed to Europe on September 15, 1944 and was captured in Belgium on December 24 of that year and subsetquently interned at Stalag XII-A and Stalag X-B (number 050298). He was discharged on October 10, 1945 as a Technician 4th Grade, and passed away on March 19, 1963.
