Genuine WWII US Army protective wool hood, initially developed for protection against gas, but often used for protection from the cold.

It was therefore widely used during the winter of 1944, especially in the vicinity of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge. A set of buttons allows the hood to be attached to the shirt and jacket, or to the HBT coveralls.

Label is dated February 15, 1945. Size: Medium.

Complete and in very good overall condition.

Name L.E. Tewell has been painted in yellow letters on the back.
