Rare genuine WWII US M5 Protective Ointment Kit, to be applied before or after exposure to vesicants.
This is the early production type, coming in a blue-grey tin box, which was issued to every GI on the occasion of the Normandy landings -- the small container was generally carried in the gas mask bag.
The present kit includes four ointment tubes (Ointment, Protective, M5) and an eye ointment tube. In 1945, this type was superseded by a new version, the tin box being painted green and featuring a different opening system.

The Code provides additional penalties, including the confiscation of the items used or intended for committing the offence.
