Nice genuine WWI Imperial German Army belt buckle (Deutsches Heer), made of brass and bearing the Bavarian motto In Treue fest, which roughly translates as 'Firm in fidelity'.

Good overall condition; no markings visible; the buckle itself, located at the rear of the plate and on which the belt hook is supposed to take place, is missing.
