Genuine WWII US Army Type E-1 goggles, dated 1943. These were designed to protect the eyes from wind and dust, with tinted acetate lenses. Date 1943 is inked on the inside of the leather frame. This red version was intended for being worn by USAAF aircrews during night flights.
